Liz Flanagan grew up in Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire and moved back to her home town when she had children, so her family could grow up in the beautiful landscape of her childhood  The surrounding area, hills and valleys is a huge inspiration for her work as is her love of animals. She has loved animals since she was very young. She and her family fostered cats and kittens and got to know and understand all their different personalities and needs.
