David Mackintosh was born in Belfast and grew up in Australia. He is a graphic designer, art director, illustrator and author. His innovative book designs have won him numerous awards in Britain and internationally and he has collaborated with some of the most celebrated names in children’s publishing. His illustrated picture books are published by HarperCollins Children’s Books, PenguinRandomHouse, Abrams Books, Egmont, Hachette, Prestel and The Natural History Museum (London).

David lives in London, draws a lot, loves books with pictures in them, and being read to.
